How to read the reference rate
The displayed value is a reference conversion between two currency codes. It is not a promise that a particular banknote exchange, card payment, or remittance will be executed at exactly that price.
Travel and family-transfer planning
For a travel budget, estimate your likely expenses in EGP and then compare the estimate with your available payment options. For remittances, compare the exact amount the recipient will receive after both the exchange rate and fees, not just the rate printed in an advertisement.
Check direction and fees
The price for buying SAR can differ from the price for selling SAR. A transfer provider may also apply a minimum fee or a different margin for small and large amounts. Ask for a final payout figure before committing.
Calculation method
Rateya reads the SAR and EGP values from the USD-based table and calculates EGP per SAR by dividing the EGP value by the SAR value. This creates a cross-rate; it does not mean the transaction is routed through USD by your provider.
