Rateya uses external reference feeds for currency and gold data. Currency rates are supplied through ExchangeRate.fun and gold data through XAUS. The site caches responses briefly to reduce unnecessary API traffic.
Currency values are received relative to USD. The converter derives cross-rates from the returned USD table. Displayed values are indicative and may differ from a bank, exchange office, card issuer, or transfer provider.
The gold section uses XAUS spot gold in EGP per gram for the 24K reference. Other karats are calculated using their purity fraction: 21K = 21/24, 18K = 18/24, etc. Retail jewellery prices can differ because of workmanship, spreads, fees, taxes, and local market conditions.
